Luxembourg City is an amazing city with a history stretching back over 1,000 years. I’ve fallen in love with the beautiful view of the deep valleys and historical monuments from the most beautiful balcony of Europe, the Chemin de la Corniche. I know few people who have been in Luxembourg. During our weekend escape we found out that Luxembourg is a perfect getaway for a micro adventure. From Groningen (Holland) we take the highway in Germany and 5 hours later you are in Luxembourg city. If you wait until the trees are green, then I’m sure you will fall in love with Luxembourg. The city is a lot more photogenic and the old town seduces you to romantic walks on bridges along the Alzette and Pétrusse in this beautiful grand duchy. Look at my photos of a – unfortunately – still gray city and I’m sure you add Luxembourg to your European roadtrip. Still not convinced? Wait until I tell you about the old town of Echternach in the next episode of my blog.
